FIRST BATCH SOLD OUT - PREORDERS OPEN FOR BATCH 2
Small Cheese MkII takes one of the most distinctive fuzz circuits ever created from the 1990s and expands it into a highly adaptable four-voice fuzz platform, in a compact, pedalboard-friendly format.
At its core are three carefully voiced tonal foundations: Mid Boost, Mid Scoop and Modern Scoop. From cutting, mix-dominating leads to huge walls of fuzz and aggressive contemporary tones, Small Cheese MkII covers an enormous range of ground without ever losing its unmistakable character.
Standard Volume, Tone and Curds (Fuzz) controls keep operation familiar, while the dedicated Modifier footswitch unlocks an additional layer of sonic exploration unavailable on the original design.
Perfect for:
- Players who love versatile fuzzes rather than one-trick ponies
- Fans of classic alternative, grunge and 90s tones
- Guitarists who need both rhythm and lead voices from a single pedal, accessible on the fly
- Players who enjoy gated and Velcro-style fuzz textures
Features:
Three core voices
Mid Boost
- Focused and vocal
- Strong note definition
- Ideal for leads and riffs, in dense mixes
Mid Scoop
- The classic voice
- Huge, thick fuzz tones
- Rich harmonics and enormous sustain
Modern Heavy Scoop
- More aggressive
- Thicker low end
- Contemporary heavy fuzz textures
Secondary mode via Modifier footswitch
Option 1 - Gated fuzz
Engage the Modifier footswitch in Gate mode and any of the three core voices can be transformed into a tightly gated fuzz. From subtle note choking to aggressive Velcro-style decay, the dedicated Gate Trim allows the response to be tailored to your guitar, pickups and playing style.
Option 2 - Tone Bypass
Alternatively, the Modifier footswitch can be configured as a tone bypass, removing the tone-shaping network entirely for a more immediate, powerful and open voice. The dedicated Balance trim allows the tone bypass volume to be matched, boosted or reduced relative to the primary sound, making it ideal for solos, dynamic transitions and live performance.
General
- Housed in beautiful textured Sulphur Yellow powder coated enclosure with true bypass, standard 9v DC power connections, and top mounted jacks in a very pedalboard friendly footprint
- Soldered, wired and assembled completely by hand in Manchester, UK
Note: Small Cheese mk2 is made in small batches. Once stock is exhausted, orders will switch to "pre-order" with a lead time of approximately 4 weeks.
