PCB Design and development

One of the most rewarding aspects of pedal building for us is designing the PCBs and laying them out ready for production. For many people, the learning curve for CAD software (despite various free of charge packages being available) is a big hurdle to overcome. This is where we can step in.

Ready to move from Vero/prototyping into the world of PCB? 

We can deliver manufacturing ready Gerber file packages, that you retain the intellectual property to (for example, we wont share your schematic or produce pedals from the ideas used in a PCB development project). Rates start at £40 per hour for simple projects, with a cap at 10 hours after which fixed fees for such services will be negotiated. 

 

Repairs, Diagnostics, Servicing:

Gigahearts have been building, repairing and servicing vintage pedals for over 15 years. 

Do you have an effect which needs a service, fault diagnosed or a repair / replacement part? Get in touch today for a quote. Our basic rates are £40 bench fee for diagnostics and first hours labour, £40 per hour thereafter. 

We specialise in Lovetone pedals, and might be the only pedal builder who owns the whole series by which to compare sounds and functionality, and source vintage correct or compatible replacement components. To our knowledge, no-one is offering a bespoke repair service for these much loved and valuable pieces of analog effect history. Recent clients include Johnny Marr, for whom I repaired both a Doppelganger and RingStinger.
